Melter for chocolate and cocoa liquor blocks

The ARW melter melts the chocolate and cocoa liquor blocks on the removable melting grid inside the tank. Both the melting grid and the jacketed tank are heated by hot water. Two separate heating circuits for the melting grid and the jacket of the tank can be installed making it possible to operate the grid at a higher melting temperature than the jacket of the tank.

The melting chocolate and cocoa liquor blocks flow through the melting grid into the insulated tank where the rake mixer supported by a gear motor mixes the batch of chocolate.

The cover of the tank consists of the support of the geared motor and two hinged covers. Both covers are equipped with a safety switch and a holding device. The mixing element covers the whole interior of the tank. A pneumatically operated piston valve can be installed at the discharge of the tank to prevent un-melted product from blocking the discharge opening, ensuring liquid product remains near the mixing element.
 

Closed heating circuit

The water circulation pump pumps the water through the melting grid, the jacket of the tank and the heat exchanger in a closed loop. An expansion vat and a refilling device are installed into the closed water circuit.

A proportioning valve can be installed at the heat exchanger to control the flow of hot water. The temperature controller with display will substitute the temperature display at the door of the control-cabinet.

An additional closed water circuit with a separate heat system can be installed to operate the grid at a higher melting temperature than the jacket of the tank. When required additional electrical heaters can be provided.
